Turkish Bath Antalya

Hamam guide

Is a Turkish bath in Antalya worth it?

Only you can answer that, but the facts that decide it fit on one page: how your hotel chooses the hamam, what the fare pays for, how much of your day it takes and what to check before you book.

In short

It depends on what you want from the visit, so here is what decides it. From €25 per adult you get the sauna and steam room, a kese scrub, a foam wash and foam massage and an aromatic oil massage of about 20 minutes, with the round trip from your hotel included and your hotel deciding which of our three hamams you visit. Allow about 2.5–3 hours door to door; reserving is free, and you pay at the hamam in cash or by card. A hamam is not advised during pregnancy, with a heart or circulatory condition, or if heat and humidity affect you.

Your hotel decides which of three hamams

This site is not one hamam. It books the same basic programme at three: one collecting from hotels in Antalya city (the centre, Lara, Kundu and Konyaaltı), one for Belek (Belek, Kadriye and Boğazkent) and one for Kemer (Kemer, Beldibi, Göynük, Kiriş, Çamyuva and Tekirova).

You don't have to pick between them. The hamam that collects from your hotel's area is the one you go to, the round trip is part of the fare, and today the fare is the same at all three. Type your hotel into the finder on the home page, or look it up among every hotel we collect from.

One programme behind the fare

The fare, from €25 per adult, pays for one basic programme: the transfer both ways, the sauna and steam room, the kese scrub, the foam wash and foam massage, an aromatic oil massage of about 20 minutes, the peştemal, towel and slippers, and local insurance.

Drinks, a longer or upgraded massage, masks and other extra treatments, professional photos and tips are not in it, and this site sells no upgrade. Every fare, hamam by hamam, with worked totals for a few typical parties, is on the price page.

Keep about 2.5–3 hours free

Door to door, from pickup at your hotel to drop-off back there, a visit takes about 2.5–3 hours, both transfers included. When you'll be collected depends on your hotel, and we send you the time before the day, together with the hamam's address.

Inside the hamam, briefly

You change into swimwear, which stays on throughout, and warm up in the sauna and steam room. An attendant then scrubs you with the kese mitt and washes you in foam, the oil massage follows, and you rinse, rest and change before the ride back. The order and timing can vary with the hamam and how busy it is; our guide to what happens in a Turkish bath takes each stage in turn.

If anything feels uncomfortable, tell the attendant. You can also ask for an attendant of your own gender when you book; it is a request, not a guarantee.

Going as a couple or with children

A couple stays together through every stage, from the sauna and steam room to the kese, the foam and the massage, at all three hamams.

Children aged 4–10 and infants aged 0–3 must be accompanied by an adult. The massage stages are designed for adults, so tell us each child's age when you book and the hamam confirms what they take part in. You'll find the fares and more in our guide for families and couples.

Check these before you book

Some things are better known now than on the day:

  • Your health. A hamam is not recommended in pregnancy, with a heart or circulatory condition, or for anyone who copes badly with heat and humidity; more in our health and safety answers.
  • The massage. The programme's oil massage lasts about 20 minutes. Longer massages and extra treatments are not part of the booking; more in our questions and answers.
  • Drinks. Drinks and refreshments are not part of the fare.
  • Privacy. We don't sell private hamam hire, and the transfer vehicle may carry other guests.
  • Pickup time and address. Neither is published in advance: both reach you once you have booked, before the day.
  • Where you're staying. Online bookings cover hotels in Antalya city, Belek and Kemer. Staying somewhere else? Message us on WhatsApp.
  • Going today. Online, the earliest date is tomorrow. For today, ask us on WhatsApp or by phone: it is often possible when the timing works, but never certain.

If you're also considering a spa

This booking gives you a set programme of heat, kese, foam and oil massage rather than a single treatment picked from a list. For a point-by-point comparison, read our Turkish bath vs spa guide.

Reserving without paying online

Start with your hotel, in the finder on the home page or on the booking page. Choose a date from tomorrow onwards and add your guests, up to 20 in one online booking; the summary shows the total before you confirm.

Reserving is free and no card details are asked for. You pay at the hamam on the day, in cash or by card, and cancelling costs nothing until 24 hours before your visit.

Questions & answers

I've never been to a hamam. Where do I start?

With our guide to what happens in a Turkish bath, which walks through each stage, and our list of what to wear and bring for the practical side.

Can I choose which of the three hamams I go to?

The online booking follows your hotel. Each hamam collects from its own areas, and if you start a booking for one that doesn't serve your hotel, the booking switches to the one that does. The programme is the same at all three, and so, today, is the fare.

Who am I booking with?

With Murat Atalay Travel Agency, the TÜRSAB-licensed agency (No. 11294) behind this site. We take the booking, match it to the hamam for your hotel and confirm the pickup with you; the programme itself takes place at the hamam, which is also where you pay.
